Grow from surviving to
thriving.
About Me
Hello! I'm Kelly. I am a human, a mother, and a Licensed Psychologist (in no particular order). In the last 20 years, I have worked in nearly every therapeutic setting, with people struggling with many different challenges. However it has been in the last decade I have specialized in working with young adults and women struggling with depression, anxiety, chronic pain and trauma.

I received my PhD from the University of Nebraska Lincoln in 2007. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at McLean Psychiatric Hospital/Harvard Medical School, and received an additional fellowship in Psychiatry in the Department of Psychology at Harvard Medical School. I completed my post-doctoral fellowship at Texas Children's Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine.

Specializing in individual therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, chronic pain, and concerns uniquely affecting women.
My Approach
A graduate supervisor once commented "you are the same in session as you are in real life." I don't know if she meant it to be a compliment, but that was my interpretation. For therapy to be effective, you have to feel comfortable with your psychologist. I can have all the degrees in the world, however if you don't feel a connection- change will not occur.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-how your thoughts, feelings and behaviors are connected. However, I am broadly trained, and will adapt your sessions to your needs and preferences (e.g., not digging CBT? We have many other forms of therapy/treatment that are proven to be effective). Together, we will create specific goals for your therapy, then at your pace- begin to work towards them. My goal for each session is that you feel supported, seen, and heard.

Our work together will include both of us getting to know you. We will collaboratively develop goals and identify ways to move you from surviving to thriving.
